An Extra-ordinary Visit at Mayoyao, Ifugao
Pronounced by the locals as Majawjaw, later by Spaniards as Majawjaw, then adopted by Americans as Mayaoyao and finally the official spelling in modern Philippines is Mayoyao.
Mayoyao, famous for the kilometers of rice terraces and built hundreds of years ago is part of the Philippines pride and treasures. It is also the most beautiful Rice Teraces in the Philippines.
It took seven to eight hour by bus to get Banaue (Baguio to Banaue), and another three hours by jeepney or bus going to Mayoyao.
Special thanks to the local government of Mayoyao, headed by Mayor Ronie Lumayna for showing us the best of Mayoyao.
